I have enjoyed makeup since the age of 12.  I wear what some would consider a lot, but I try to wear it tastefully.  I look at my face as a blank canvas and each time enjoy creating a look for the day.

What’s your skin “type?”:
My skin is dry/combination.  It has a tendency to react to many cosmetics on the market so I have to be careful of what I use.

How do you cleanse your face?: 
I use (1) Mary Kay’s Timewise 3-in-1 Cleanser, and (2) Olay PROx exfoliating cleanser with a rotating scrubber.  I also use (3) Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Softening Lotion, and (4) Merlot Moonlight Radiance Night Cream all over my face, neck and chest.

What are your go-to color cosmetic products?:
I no longer work, so for around the house I use (5) Mary Kay tinted moisturizer sunscreen broad spectrum SPF 20 in Ivory 2 and (6) Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Flawless Wear Concealer in medium.  If I’m going out shopping or of anywhere of importance, I put on Estee Lauder Double Wear Light, Intensity 3.0 because it stays on all day – even through my hot flashes!  I use Mary Kay loose translucent powder Ivory 2.  I carry with me (7) MAC pressed powder NC37.  I wear MAC eye shadows and Revlon color stay eyeliner in dark brown.  I can only use (8) Almay mascara (due to allergic reactions to all others), and I use waterproof for the motorcycle, due to so much wind in my face.

What’s your favorite product in your daily routine?:
Merlot Moonlight Radiance Night Cream.

Do you have a favorite perfume?:
(9) Anais Anais by Cacharel

Favorite hair care products?:
I use Pantene products mostly with Shimmering Lights to maintain my blonde highlights.

How does getting yourself ready make you feel about yourself?:
It makes me feel younger, more confident, and prettier.

beauty products, beauty routine, merlot, grape seed, MAC blush, skin careLiving in a dry city like El Paso all my life has made my skin very dry.  There are so many creams out there that I’ve tried and none seemed to have helped as much as the Merlot products do.  I use Merlot on my face and all the way down to my toes, and I love it!

Every morning after showering I love to use (1) Merlot Body Firming Lotion all over my body, including my feet.  It’s best to use when my skin is still a tad damp so that it gives my skin that soft, smooth feel all day long.

Before heading out for work I beautify my face first by applying (2) Merlot Moisturizer.  I love to use it as a base before applying (3) MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation.  Using the moisturizer this way does not make my face feel cakey at all, which is a plus!  I follow up by using (4) MAC Mineralize Blush color Gentle on the apples of my cheeks.  For my eyes I use (5) L’oreal’s Waterproof Power Volume Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black and line them up with (6) L’oreal’s Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner in Blackest Black.  Then I’m off for a day at the office.

After work I head to the gym.  When I’m done with my workout routine I usually go to the locker room and wash my hands – this is where I reach for (7) Merlot’s Hand Cream Plus Sanitizer from my gym bag.  It’s awesome because not only does it leave your hands nice and soft, but it also sanitizes your hands.  After using the workout machines that are used by everyone in the gym I want to make sure to kill whatever germs are left lurking on my hands.

I end my day by heading home and hitting the shower.  (8) Merlot’s Cleanser is great to use after a workout to get rid of any dirt and impurities.  The best part about this cleanser is that it also helps to take off the mascara and eyeliner I applied earlier in the day.  After the shower I put on (9) Merlot’s Body Butter.  It leaves my skin silky smooth and refreshed for bedtime.
